About the Boston Terrier

The Boston Terrier, nicknamed 'The American Gentleman' for their tuxedo-like markings, is one of the few breeds developed entirely in the United States. Created in Boston in the late 1800s from crosses between Bulldogs and white English Terriers, Bostons are compact, well-proportioned companions with a friendly, lively personality. They are intelligent, amusing, and adaptable dogs that get along with virtually everyone โ€” children, other pets, and strangers alike. Their moderate size, minimal grooming needs, and gentle disposition make them ideal urban companions.
